60 Hz is the AC power frequency in some countries.
That means the source could be lights (they have them in supermarktets, lots of them), fridges, airconditioning, basicly every thing that uses power could be a source of interference.
For this balanced audio is designed, so at least the cables won’t pick up the noise.
However, a humming deice with no electronic interference makes sound, so if you mic picks up that you have the wrong mic for the job.Now, of course your phone does not let you hear this, 60 Hz is very low, the speaker is probably not able to playback a frequency that low.
So, now you know why there are dedicated sound guys who bring 10K worth of equipment to do a job like this.
I’m not saying that that is needed for such a job, but shooting something with too cheap equipment / not enough known how is not the way to go. Having to do a lot of work in post that never give you as good results as that you would have gotten in the first place makes it more expensive than doing it right the first time.Bouke

I can only add that normally TC is displayed in a monospaced font so it won’t jump around.
but this is going to be unreadable anyways. What is it for, humans? (If not, you have some 6 bytes of data for a monochrome QR alike code, that is plenty.)Bouke

Not to be arrogant or harsh, but are your hours unbilled?
If so, go ahead as planned.
Otherwise, rent any normal low budget camera and a decent mic, or you end up spending more money in post than you would have spent on renting equipment.I can’t comment on the lens, but I do know that proper light and sound is way more important to me.
AFAIK, Iphones have ‘dynamic’ frame rates, that might kill you in post.Bouke

afaik, Wave Agent does not do RF64 (if you go over the 4 gig limit).
My Bwf Merge app does (get it from my site)
But, this was intended to merge files from different recorders with different start times, so perhaps a bit overpowered for the job.(And if it’s only a few files, why bother and not do it by hand?)

32 bits has nothing to do with it, except that Quicktime Player (NOT THE FORMAT) will not be updated due to the great minds at Apple who think only in your best interest and not about money.
Next to that, Apple will also not put a tiny bit of effort in supporting codecs, and is selling it by saying they are ‘obsolete’.FCPX was not downwards compatible with FCP, and people complained but apple got away with it.
Now it is happening again.Do you all like having problems?
