Not sure what you are doing, but you can sift your bin on source, select that source and batch import / digitze.
Does that makes sense?

Rafael and me are suggesting indeed just that, send them something they did NOT ask for.
About Episode, i’ve got version 5.3.2 running, and i can’t find LXF output.
Now from the link, it’s a ‘ proprietary’ format, and i doubt they give it away.
But, since it’s 50 megabit Mpeg2, Sony MXF comes very close, to the format you described,
and Harris should be the company to support that…
(not LXF vs MXF, one letter difference, one pos in the alphabet…)If you don’t want to nag your client, contact Harris and ask them about your options.

What my software does is ripping the clips used in your project, and saves them as MXF files.
Then, using the Sony XDcam transfer tool, you can convert those MXF files to QT, and have FCP relink to the new files.
Mind you, my software does NOT extract the entire files, just the ones you used! (media manage first!)Currently i’m finding out all the codecs so the Sony tool is not needed anymore, but that is still experimental.
Now, this relies on the offline (proxy) clips being available!
In your situation, this may not be the case!So i would have to find another way of getting the metadata out your sequence, and have FCP relink to that. (Luckily i’ve already made a FCP relink tool, so most of the work is done.
If all is well, there is a demo on my site. Download it, read the manual and toy with it.

well, it works fine here…
If it does not work for you, try QT. It can capture DV as well, and it retains TC if present in the stream.
Or, if you have LTC, use that.

Try exporting to XDcam, you end up with a MXF file, and if you have set everything right, it should be very close to what you need.
And since it’s Sony, probably your client will be able to work with it.
So i would suggest that you suggest that to your client…Bouke

My bad, you are right.
But how did i get the idea? Was it something with Bluetooth being mono then?
(i’ve worked on iPhone stuff some time ago, and can remember ‘something’ being mono, and was rather disturbed by that….)And no, i don’t have an Iphone…

Iphone is mono. So if the earphones are from an Iphone, it makes sense…
Or, you did not plug in the jack deep enough. Have a look at the jack.
Do you see 2 or 3 divisions?
(first (closed to the wire) is mass, second is left, third is right.)
If you only see two, no way a stereo signal can travel over it…Bouke

Proxy means something ‘low quality / high performance temp file to be replaced by the real mcCoy later on’
IOW, you create copies identical in name/timecode etc, but different in either codec, resolution or both.
Now you work with those untill the last phase, then you swap out the proxies for the originals.Clear?
