well, my option would be to create playback file with LTC on one channel, play the music to the set, record the LTC on the cam.
This way you get back home with the same TC on all takes, ready for editing.

Plural eyes only works in certain circomstances, music (especially short takes) of course being quite difficult.

Several ways of creating such a file. My Digital Clapperboard can do so, but any tool that can work with sound can do so.

several options to create LTC are available, the cheapest one to record LTC out of any deck. Or, if you don’t have one, ask me for a couple of minutes.

No help for the OP i’m afraid, but for future record.

Of course no ‘optical flow’ is needed!
If the playback FPS is lower than the shooting speed, you still can shoot a higher FPS for slowmo (as you know), and still have 100% speed from the same shot.
Just trash enough frames to get a 1:1 relation to the normal time.
Thus, for Youtube, if you shoot 60 fps, and you edit 30 fps, trashing half the frames yields perfect normal video that can instantly go into perfect slomo.

Do you by any chance have identical clips in the trash?

QT (not FCP!) has a nasty habit to swap out fresh clips for older clips having the same name but live in the trash. (Even if they have totally different content.)
So, emtpty your trash, repair permissions and do the other regular voodoo.

Never worked with this one, but i have worked with another Telcom reader (VITC and LTC), and that worked just fine.

However, IMHO hardware to do so is a bit outdated, and last time i’ve checked the hardware readers were quite expensive.

Does not only read LTC but also reads BWF and Mp3 timestamps, and in case of no TC, you can manually set it.

So, you have a network connection?
If so, i can get you a bit of software that can be remotely controlled, and records QT (with timecode) in any flavour.
That means your recording machine can be a simple (old and/or cheap) laptop.
Would that help?

Try ‘offloader’ from my site.
It can re-wrap the MXF to QT, and fcp should be able to work with it.
It is intended to work from camera originals, but you can also point to a folder on hard disk.
(The BBC uses these cams, i’ve added support on their request)

And how do you want to do so? With your cellphone?
This is in fact possible, but might not turn out to be the most practical option.

Since you want to control and monitor remotely, do you have the option to run wires, or are they already there?
If so, why is it important where the physical recorder is?
IMHO it does not make any difference if the control signals run trough the wire or the sound signal does.
And if you have monitoring at the control location, you have sound there, thus you are able to record it there.

Perhaps i’m missing the point, but from what i understand you are making things way more difficult than needed.

This is plain wrong information.
BWF does NOT contain timecode information.
It contains TIME information, that is frame rate independent or dependent, depending on the way you look at it 🙂
Fact is, it is not stored as HH:MM:SS:FF, but as a number describing the time, written down as a multiple of the sample rate per second.

If you want to retain your start time and you don’t do a time base change, the time code CALCULATED FROM the BWF timestamp will be exactly the same, of course with corrected frames.

So, if your NTSC master as a 01:00:00:00 start TC, and you export a BWF file, it will show 01:00:00:00 as well in a PAL environment.

Do note that you need DF TC. If you convert NDF to PAL, you DO in fact change the timebase (not so much for the video as well for the timecode, since NDF does not run at clock time)
