It’s hard to tell without looking at the RED setting. I agree it should not be happening. Send settings to our support at support@borisfx.com. Also, what version of FCP and RED are you using? Sorry, I wish I had a one-line answer.

Yes, we made them work but BCC 3 is 4 versions behind. BCC is at version 7 now.

I see. We’ll have a special filter for that called Match Move in our next update. It will be a 2:1 Transform in Vegas so that we can get hold of an additional layer. Keep an eye on our announcements.

Unfortunately not yet. But we are looking to add Motion Tracker to more BCC effects. What exactly are you looking to do?

that problem is hard to diagnose without seeing the settings. If you still have RED setting files please send over to support@borisfx.com
I hate to send problems direct to support but in some cases that’s the only way to solve them. If support people can’t figure them out they’ll escalate to QA, engineers or product managers.

First, make sure that your BorisFX version is the latest, if it is I’ll have to ask you to contact our tech support. FX 9.3.2 was approved for 32 bit Vegas 9 and 10 so we need to look deeper into why it’s not showing up right after installation. Moving the plugin to another directory may confuse other parts of the software package so I’m not surprised that the UI window comes up blank. Good try though.

That’s a really good question. As a rule of thumb, you should always stabilize first because any pre-processing may confuse the Optical Flow algorithm. Make sure to select Magic Sharp from the Quality popup in the Post Processing group (it defaults to fast). You are going to need all this extra precision in the next step which will be UpRez. All color adjustments should be done last.

We can now confirm instability when deleting an OFX filter in Vegas 10.a. The problem affects any OFX filer set, not just BCC. We know that the problem will be solved in the next Vegas update but I can’t really comment on it. I hope to see the issue resolved really soon. In the meantime, the workarounds mentioned above may work. As long as you avoid deleting any filter the program should be stable. Instead of deleting, perhaps disabling is sufficient. I’m very sorry for the inconvenience.
