    Hi,

is there any way to track motion in Vegas 10? By this I mean to make Vegas recognize some characteristic pixels within the footage and follow (track) them. I was using this feature in Adobe After Effects but I wonder if Vegas can do this trick too. Maybe there is a special plugin for this?

    thanks

There’s no way to do this in Vegas yet so stick to After Effects.

This is just great. But is it possible to copy tracked keyframes from one layer and apply them to another layer?

Unfortunately not yet. But we are looking to add Motion Tracker to more BCC effects. What exactly are you looking to do?

I would like to track some pixels of one layer and make the second layer move like these pixels (to use tracked keyframes to move a different layer).

I see. We’ll have a special filter for that called Match Move in our next update. It will be a 2:1 Transform in Vegas so that we can get hold of an additional layer. Keep an eye on our announcements.

Brilliant but how do I do this, with another track?

Lets say I have a moving billboard, and I want it to have a sign on it and stay on it with motion tracking, how do i do this when the clip i want on top is in another track?
