BTY, I meant to say shoot 24A as opposed to 24 in the progressive menue.

I use aic, so do alot of other users, it seems that this is our only
choice until FCP adds a fix.

I had the same prob with my v1u…
capture 24pa,and you will be fine.

FCP does not see my V1U but I can still capture using AIC1080i60
no problems other than converting 24p.( have to use cinema tools.)

FCP does not support the Sony V1U yet, you need to capture AIC and convert with
cinema tools. Shoot 24pa. google sony v1u to find workarounds.
