Thanks for all your suggestions. For you guys using the 700s, how do you archive your raw footage. Do you have a method for this? Does anyone know how the 700s work with a Media100 suite? I have 12 years of editing and lots of money invested into Media100 and would hate to leave the system.

    Thanks for all you help.

Thanks guys. I would love to shoot progressive as well. I guess Jeremy and I have the same problem… those darn bills. Thanks for all the input. Right now I will just have to stick with shooting DV and tweaking until I get it to work and dream of the day I can upgrade.

    Thanks,

Thanks for all the input. Moving to footage an even number worked. I have been keying DV footage quite a bit the last couple of years and have gotten decent results with lots of tweaking. Lighting is the key. Thanks for the help.

Basically the files were transferred to and external drive that was pre-formatted for PC
from a Mac based system. Once the files were accessed again we realized the format of the
files had changed. These were transferred from a Mac 9.x system many years ago. Any hope?
    Thanks

My client is requiring a SWF file format to use in some proprietary software. I have not used Flash… don’t have it. Any suggestions?

I appreciate all the input on the WMV compression. This helps tremendously. I would like to take the discussion in another direction… What formats are most people using to do quality proofs via the internet? I send daily updates to clients and I have been showing them progress and concepts fairly frequent. Due to the distance it is not feasible to send DVDs for proofing. Is there a better option than wmv that is widely accepted on PCs and Macs?

    Thanks

I am working with Media100HD codec in 8 bit but my issues seemed to resolve themselves when I removed the Firewire 800 drive from my equation. I have an external 1.2 terabyte raid that I use from my media. The only time since I removed the 800 drive that I receive the error is if I have and After Effects render happening at the same time I am try to use the Media 100.
