Re: Your input some months ago, I have installed Windows XP Mode and the Windows Virtual Application in the i7 64 bit computer and both, Premiere Elements 4( Export to blu-ray as H.264 or HDV mpeg-2 ) and Premiere Pro 1.5.1 run perfectly , regardless of the 32 bit applications they both run significantly better on the Quad Core. CS5 5.5 was trialled and I found no significant improvement in speed of basic editing ?

well done , you have solved your own problem, nothing wrong with your computer, but, the H.264mov may cause editing problems , i said may , but, we use a PC.the Canon5D mark II has done over 2.5 years of work, stills and video, and no problems

It is the Windows Size limit, it will stop. Just restart, put in another card.

Well that is normal , it will record 11min approx HD Video 1920 x 1080p and stop. You must restart for next set of clips.And then it will stop after another 11 minutes .

Check out your video card , may need to upgrade, but, the odd grill and horizontal line patterns are at times even on commercial broadcast, it is no big thing. I have used the Canon 5D Mark II HD 1920 x 1080p for two and a half years and a 3ccd Panasonic , you may get the odd hiccup ?

Ps. You could edit this out in Premiere Pro ?

Yes,

Well you could do it (ZOOM) manually but only on a tripod with the 5D Mark II, plenty of lens availability, but, your camera person would have to know what he is about.

Other wise the new Sony 35 mm Pro Hi Def camcorder at $15000 ?

If you erased the images in the camera only it should be usable, but, you can contact Sandisk for assistance ? A Recovery disk should have come with the ULTRA II or maybe not, I use Extreme Viii 60Mbps in a Canon 5D mark II with no problems over 2.5 years.

Yes, well my son who now uses iMovie not FCP does not have the FCP problem for all his productions from the Canon 5D mark II and I have no problems with Premiere Pro , it may be a setting ? We also use 1920 x 1080p @ 25 fps PAL

As far as I know CS5 will do it automatically. I usually import in to Premiere Elements 4 and render and convert to HDV/mpeg-2 ie., Export to Movie and then open in PP 1.5.1 as avi 1440 x 1080i for final edit. The results are excellent. I will go to CS5 in May.

We have been using Premiere Pro to capture HDV/mpeg-2 from a Canon HV20 for five years with excellent results. An m2t file is generated when you Export to Tape and this file is easily open in Premiere Elements 4 to burn to blu-ray as our old PP 1.5.1 cannot do that.
