It’s not personal. It’s business. Unlike the old days, we aren’t forced to work for or buy from any particular company. If you want to make it personal, that’s your business and I’ll stay out of it. What I don’t like is when people try to use the legal or political system to make it my business. It’s happening in small cases, but I hope the tide is stopped. Oh, and read some Rand already.

Oh for crying out loud. If I were an editor, I’d have my business journalists take business classes so they’ll have the first clue what they’re talking about.

Jules is right, it’s not the currency conversion. In fact, due to the massive devaluing of the dollar, that would push the price down oversees. But this isn’t a typical ‘product’ as it exists entirely as 1s and 0s. In addition to the VAT, there may be import fees on these kinds of things that only a few even know about. Or… Adobe likes us better because we’re awesome.

Here’s a question, though. Is the subscription option more secure? We all know that the cost of theft is built into the price for those who pay, so if this new option solves that problem, is that why it’s so dang cheap??

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the numbers and methodology were just fine. Craig alluded to the gist, though… the difference between having it and using it.

This version has a very different look than the original. (Which is a good movie, by the way.) The blacks are pretty crushed here, so I don’t know if it’s a result of how it was ripped, or if they just wanted a different look. (And to subtly add to the joke.)
