April 20, 2012 at 10:26 pmI find it hard to believe you haven’t seen this clip used before. It is from the 2004 feature film Downfall and has been used so often with alternate subtitles that Youtube has to constantly remove it

So it was graded years ago and just borrowed ever since. Perhaps it was Baselight or da Vinci? This iteration is clever but I find it is more a smile than outright laughter.

April 20, 2012 at 10:40 pmIndeed, but there have been some corkers. The FCPX one made me laugh a lot, as did the Michael Jackson one, if I recall correctly.

April 20, 2012 at 11:35 pm[Jules bowman] “Indeed, but there have been some corkers. The FCPX one made me laugh a lot, as did the Michael Jackson one, if I recall correctly.
“What’s funny is that within a week of FCP X’s release there were like 3 different Hitler bits, so I’ve always thought of the FCP X debacle as a 3 Hitler Event, or rather a 3 on the Hitler scale.

April 21, 2012 at 12:28 amJust curious, do you guys know who’s birthday it is today? Yup. My son’s. And that’s why I know it’s also Hitler’s.

April 21, 2012 at 12:36 amApproximately 19 million living people have the same birthday as Hitler Bret. So nothing special but a nice way to remember.

April 21, 2012 at 1:14 amThis version has a very different look than the original. (Which is a good movie, by the way.) The blacks are pretty crushed here, so I don’t know if it’s a result of how it was ripped, or if they just wanted a different look. (And to subtly add to the joke.)
