No, I live in the area and can come by to help if the other guy cant. I can have a look at your drive situation but I think I can be more helpful with getting FCP up and running with the footage that can be played from the desktop. In other words, the easy part.

I think Adcock is right, in the end you might have to resrtip the drives. You might want to do that sooner than later.

Email me if you want me to take a look. I am a free of charge kind of guy, just dont expect me to spend too much time, If I cant fix it in 30 minutes i will have the sad face on and be out the door.

What if you transcoded (to what ever you want, even some variant of what you are working with) only the shots at issue and reimported them and rendere?

    What fun…

    I wonder…

What if you put that footage or that effect section in its own sequence and nest that into your final sequence?

What if you choose an in and an out on the time line where the shots are with the UNRENDERED effect and you exported a quicktime file, then reimported?

    etc…

What is the problem with the Panasonic 200 lens?

In keeping with the title of this posting, if Panasonic does not have a third party way of recording in HD off the camera (as in a hard drive) Panasonic is in for a rude awakening. They can try all the mind control and lean on all the savants that fall in line and repeat what ever the marketing line is. Most of this Orwellean speak starts with you have to open you mind to a new way fo thinking and ends with if you dont open your mind you are wrong, as in you just don’t get it. All those lost sales, becasue Panasonic thought MII was our fault.

I think they will recover from such a spill (if there is no alt to the P2) because some VP will get fired for not selling enough to fill a small closet, the replacment VP will get it. How soon after the camera goes on sale do you think the first one will pop up on ebay? We know what the problem is before they sell the first camera, I look forward to being wrong.

As I understand it Panasonic has other P2 cameras for sale right now, notice how little action there is on this forum…whither P2 indeed.

    What about this.

Select all in the timeline, create a new bin, paste into the bin, select all in new bin and do the MM deal on those clips. Works for me…

I think his point was it would be nice to selectively choose which window and where the larger text should appear, not as a global feature.
