Thanks so much for you solution to my delete problem. As you can probably tell, I am just an amateur part-time user of this software. I always use Creative Cow when I have issues and I always get my answer quickly. I have a couple of questions for you. Right now I’m on Movie Studio Platinum 13 but for $49 it tells me I can upgrade to Magix Vegas Movie Studio 16. I’m ok doing that but will Creative Cow still help me with 13 and, is the Magix version a good version now that it’s not part of SONY anymore?

July 10, 2017 at 7:48 pm in reply to: How to render down a HD movie clip to less than 10 meg and still have good full screen resolution and soundSo sorry guys, you are both totally right. For some dumb reason I thought I could get a 3 minute video to 10 meg or lower with good quality so I could e-mail it to friends (most e-mail’s won’t allow an attachment of > 10 meg). But, I tried and tried and the best I could get it down to was 19 meg. The quality was not good. Then I looked at the size of a 30 second video taken on my iPhone and saw it was 30 meg. If I want to send a large video file to a friend, I’ll use dropbox.
thanks for all your insight.

November 25, 2015 at 3:34 am in reply to: How to render with markers in Sony Studio Platinum 13Oh this has to be a studio pro version. My previous version which had a checkbox to render the markers was Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.0. The Platinum 13 version was simply a $50 upgrade from Sony to the latest version.

I agree with you 100% John but I’m a very new amateur. I do use menus but am unbelievably green when it comes to this. Right now I’m just trying to string several video clips together after trimming and then adding music. I see you’re a musician too. I’m in 3 bands and have a full recording studio. I use Cakewalk (Sonar) and love the way I can cut and paste clips. I’m frustrated with Vegas because it isn’t that easy – guess it’s the price you pay with giant video files rather than Mp3’s or wav’s. Lastly, I’m going to buy a mega fast computer so my video editing won’t be so painfully slow. One step at a time. I do appreciate your advice and really like this COW site. Thanks again.

Hey John, thanks for your reply. I finally remembered how I created the AVCHD DVD’s. It’s part of Picture Motion Browser that came with my SONY HD Camera. Yes, I agree I could do a BR RE but, really, the DVD’s these days are even less then 30 cents apiece if you look for sales at Frys. I am not a high end video creator as of yet and just want to see if I’m getting close before I blow a full dollar on a BR. It took me the whole 15 pack of BR disks before I found out how to burn them correctly. Yeah, $15 isn’t much especially with my salary but why not spend $2 instead before I start throwing $1.00 BR’s in the burner?
Ok, I’m cheap.

November 10, 2011 at 12:40 am in reply to: Sony Vegas 11 won’t recognize my Blu-Ray DiscSteven,
Thanks so much man. I hadn’t had a lot of time to research lately but you nailed my problem. It recognizes my BR Disc and, although I haven’t burned one yet, I’m good to go I’d bet. To think I’m a computer analyst at a Nuclear Power plant. Heaven help us. More like Homer Simpson I guess. This fixed both Vegas and DVD Architect.
