  • Thanks, Chandler. That fixed my problem and the problem the editor in the other facility was having.

Having the same issue here in STL. Exporting ProRes422 with same workflow as before update.

File plays in QT Player, but not when transferred to KiPro.

I posted my details in a new post.

When I built the lower third in motion, I used the drop zone from the template, resulting in the original problem.

I rebuilt it, not using the drop zone, and it worked perfectly.

    Who knew?

  • Mark,

We have two BVH-2000’s here at KETC in St. Louis. Just fired them up last week for dubs!! Call our Production Manager for rates.

Thanks, Todd. It’s the putting it in the comp first that is the step I was missing. Double-click on the layer in the comp window, then adjust it in the viewer window.

    Mark,

I am still in the learning curve on FCP, so I don’t want to turn off the warning yet.

At first, I thought the problem was just on output through the AJA ioHD, but my timeline won’t even play each time on the laptop, although it does not always stall at the same place.

    Not a multi-cam edit.

I have 3 layers of video and two layers of audio.

The entire purpose of this timeline was to test the claim on the Apple website that FCP6 can play back any resolution on the same timeline in realtime. I have specifically chosen shots from many different codecs and resolutions, added graphics over dissolves, and generally did whatever I could to trip it up.

Apparently I did too good of a job tripping it up.

It worked! I downloaded the new version of XDCAM Transfer software (2.7.1) and it showed up. I also tried Flip4Mac and that did the trick too.

That’s where I’m running into problems.

FCP is not importing the proxy files for me to edit. After it is cut, I could send the EDL back to Baltimore for them to re-link the timeline.
