    Hi John,

That fixed my problem. I purchased the program from B&H. I find it hard to believe they would sell outdated software.

They are closed until April 26th, I will contact them when they open.

If you are a musician, you have probabley dealt with us. Guitar Center Musicians friend.

My wife and her late husband started Guitar Player, Frets and other music publications in the sixtys.

They also started Musicians Friend the internet music company.

Johnny Smith is a friend of ours. Unfortunately, he doesn’t play any more.

Again, thank you for your help.

Thanks for the input Dale. I have tried that and it didn’t work. I also tried my Sony HD camera and same thing. The program will recognise the cameras in shoot mode but not in vcr mode.

    Again, thanks

I erased the avchd folder on the computer then transfered 2 clips into vegas and the program worked fine. Maybe the old avchd folder was the problem. I will keep you posted.

About 13 years ago I met a fellow named “Shadow Hawk”. He was justing getting into shooting video, analog of course. Nice guy, would like to touch bases with him again, if anybody knows or hears of him, I would appreciate an update

    Thanks all

Yes, I do have another avchd folder on the same drive. I had a sony hard drive camera, returned it because it did not have the little pull up screen, could not see the lcd screen in sunlight.

    Thanks for your help.

I purchased a new Dell XPS 140 running duel Xeon quad Cpu’s overclocked to 3.46Mz. It came with Vista home premium. I am having problems, sony vegas 6 will not download video from my camera, it comes up with errors.

Also, it will not run my Microboard PF2 printer. I E-Mailed Microboard tech support and asked them for Vista drivers. They said “they are not supporting the Vista operating system and had no plans to do so”. I can not believe thay are abandoning their customer base.

The computer is very fast, it took my old computer 7 to 8 hours to render a 1 hour video, the XPS will renter it in 40 minutes. Love the computer, really sorry I went with the Vista operating system.

Any help on my Vista problems would be appreciated.
