I will try the method this afternoon.

I have used Share very successfully. Not being a computer person, I liked the fact that by selecting one option, the end result will be a working DVD.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I opened Livetype and found that the option “background render” was already unchecked.

Then checked it and ran a test.

Still I get a black background, not a transparent one.

I guess I will have to re-do all text in Text, which I tested and does bring a transparent background into FCP 7.

Mr. Amador,

I have been using a Mac Pro for over a year, only to edit with Final Cut Pro, but has never done any “cleaning” outside of just deleting completed projects and related material.

Your suggestion of software is of interest to me. Unfortunately I am NOT a computer person as I am sure you have noted in several of my postings here.

In reading about the two recommended software, it looks to me like Tech Tools might do all the cleaning of my computer which I do not know how to do and keep it running smoothly.

Is my assumption correct?

Hello Walter,

I have one additional (and hopefully final question)

The DVD I would like to burn will not have any menus or anything else except a continuous movie, about 1 hr and 15 minutes long.

Would compressor handle that after I create the H.264 file?

I also have a software which I have never used named “Toaster.” Should I use that one?
