it’s an indesign file. so the text is written with the text tool in indesign. i import the indesign file into after effects and hit the sun icon to continuously rasterize.

I am not sure if you have found the answer for your questions already, but the problem with Premiere is not a problem but a feature: Spanned clips will appear merged under the same clip name.

I don’t know what happened with your audio. have you found out already?

    Hi!

I’ve found another example. This time, I can play the file fine in VLC (and on the camera).

Whereas when I want to play the file in the Adobe Premiere media browser, the sound is doing literally whatever. it is skipping after a few seconds a bit forward and from half the clip onwards there is no sound.

    What is going on here?

July 3, 2014 at 12:25 am in reply to: NXCAM workflow on Adobe Premiere CS6 on a Mac?

Hi Ian, and the rest of the creativecow world!

So I have a project to complete which was shot on several days and with different cameras. In between the shooting days I transferred the footage on my hard drive and reformatted the card. There are about 5 hours of footage in total, 90% of it is in AVCHD from a Sony NX3.

When transfering the footage, I always copied the entire PRIVATE folder from the card, and when importing the footage I used Adobes Media browser.

So, when I was about to edit the footage, on the bottom right of Adobe Premiere is says Conforming [media.mts] and a progessbar, which takes ages to load.

Into what format is Premiere converting my MTS files?

I can’t start editing until all files are conformed, since the audio track (which is recorded seperately) is not yet conformed and doesn’t display the wave form. Is there somehow a way to set a priority of the transcoding?

I dislike Premiere transcoding my files into something I don’t know and how it is transcoding. Wouldn’t it be better to transcode to Prores myself where I can set options?

    Thanks for your advice,
    Bernhard

    Thanks for the tip.

I was able to render it already (redoing some of the work with vector graphics rather than quirky high res pictures).

Thanks for all your help, prompting me to by new parts for my computer and even a new computer, demanding to leave the entire sfx-business and secret tips, etc 😉

    its a late 2008.

but after some googling i found out I can actually put 8gig in there:

*Apple officially supports a maximum of 4 GB of RAM. Originally, this model was only unofficially capable of stably supporting 6 GB of RAM, but as confirmed by site sponsor OWC, it is capable of supporting 8 GB of RAM if updated to Boot ROM Version MB51.007D.B03 and running MacOS X 10.
    “Snow Leopard” or higher.

this info was not out there yet when i bought it a few years ago 🙂

Sorry, yes, I am running CC, there are about 4 images with more than 10000 pixel.

I can’t install more than 4GB or RAM. I would need a newer machine (which is not an option at the moment)

I think I will split the high-res images in half and join them together in a null-object.

It is a lot of work for 5 seconds to render, so i was hoping there is a fancy way out of this render-dilemma.
