Dynamics: Limiter is on -3dB on Premiere CS6
Hi!
I have a long audio file and can’t go thorugh it manually to adjuste the peaks, so I want to put a compressor on it, and limit it off to -0.1 dBFS.
So when I do so, the limiter is set on:
Threshhold: -0,1, Release time: 50ms
However, the audio will not exceed -3dB, although I have set the Threshhold to -0.1dB.
What is going on here?
For information, the compressor kicks in at -20dB, Ratio 3:1, Attack 1ms, Release 100ms and my Make up is at 15dB.
Even when I put a make up of 30, the limiter will limit to -3 and not to 0.1 what I want it to be.
