I’ve sent a still (dpx and drx files) over to a friend also using resolve, they’ve imported the still and its applied the grade I have used, but for some reason is not applying the LUT I have used.
It should auto select the LUT I have used at my end shouldnt it as well as applying the grading info? He also has the same LUT at his end and its named the same.
Many Thanks

Just to add it does display a 1080p 25 output from Da Vinci Resolve

I’m not too keen on upgrading to a different build right in the middle of conforming so thats sort of out of the question, wasnt sure if it was a weird bug people had come across when conforming from an avid sequence?

Everything is at 24fps timecode. Some material was shot at 48fps but with 24fps timecode. So even a 200% respeed on the 48fps material would bring it back to looking like 24fps. And the TC would still skip every other frame.
I’ve got a work around for now but its way more manual than it should be for something so basic.

Hi Neil,
I dont suppose you still have that script at all do you? I’m looking to do the same sort of thing.

Max I have imported so far via an ALE is 200 characters, 256 didn’t work, but I guess that narrows it down a bit for future reference!

Brilliant, thanks again for your help Michael, will look further into it.

It’s definitely more than 14, I dont mean the bin name, but when adding characters to a field for a clip in a specific column such as the comments column.

Hi Michael,
I’ve tried importing the ALE directly after amending in excel as Maintain events as logged to see if it would even bring the clips in, but still no joy.
I’ll drop you an email now with the ALE and bin etc.
Many Thanks for helping out,
Ben

ok, the nature of the project is a little more complex unfortunately!
We have a central database with all the clips attached for logging, this is running over a server so we use low res MP4s so that playback is seemless. This is also used by directors to view footage and is in a variety of languages.
Naturally an MP4 cannot contain a TC track so for translation purposes we need to send out a QT with a TC track so that the translators can lay out the translation document in a way so that we can import as subtitles directly.
The translations are then also pasted into the database as well as being used to cut with.
So that the directors and everyone else is working on the same page, we need to have a TC that matches the MP4s in the database, and as they don’t contain a TC track, they always start from 0, hence my requirement to get all translation clips sent out with a 00:00:00:00 TC track on each clip.
