November 23, 2015 at 12:07 am in reply to: Synced Audio Not Showing in Resolve 11 TimelineBumping this thread.
I auto-synced audio with video based on timecode, how do I get to automatically use the corresponding synced audio file when playing the video in the timeline?
In the Media tab, it works: the corresponding synced audio file plays automatically when playing the video.
But not in the Edit tab.
Thanks,
Benjamin(in DaVinci 12.1)

Well they shot it that way, it’s done… what can I do now?
There is only this one clip, somehow the corresponding sound file has a timecode shift of around 1 minute 26 seconds. Can I sync this by hand in DaVinci?
Thanks

Thanks, selecting “Rec709 full range” instead of Rec709 goes in the right direction (there is no Rec 2020 by the way, only DCI P3) but the colors are still not as vibrant/saturated as when I play the MXF file in a video player (MPC).
All the following give the exact same colors:
– MXF in MPC
– H264 converted from MXF in MPC
– H264 converted from MXF in Windows Media PlayerSomehow the Avid player still washed colors out.

Are you referring to Settings > Full screen playback > “Expand luminance for computer displays” ?
This changes nothing at all for me. And I would like to have correct colors also out of full screen, in the usual GUI monitors.
Thanks.

April 13, 2015 at 4:29 pm in reply to: Simple question: jump forward/backward during playbackThanks, actually I already use AutoHotkey for other things but if I assign some
key combination to an arrow key it will mess up everything inside Avid, can’t use arrow keys when typing text etc… there is no way to define mor precise indigenous hotkeys? There is an “add alt key” command in the command palette > Other, but it doesn’t do anything: can I assign eg Y to what Alt+Y does?
Thanks.

April 13, 2015 at 4:13 am in reply to: Simple question: jump forward/backward during playbackThanks but the whole point is to use a quick key to do it, to browse the video rapidly… Not possible to assign this to a shortcut key?

I have tried that already, doesn’t work: A1, A2, A3, A4 are all on 1+2, meaning each of the source audio tracks should go to both channels of the output file i.e. should be panned center.
But this is not what happens, Resolves just alternates between left and right: audio track 1 goes right, audio track 2 goes left, audio track 3 goes right. By the way when I hit play in the resolve tab, the sound is correctly panned in the middle, it’s just the output file which is badly encoded.

thanks, that’s great news, didn’t see this “add alt key” button in Other. But it doesn’t work for me (I am on PC), when I drag the Add Alt button to Y it doesn’t do anything…
