The rest of the footage syncs video/audio correctly but somehow I have one clip where the Wav file recorded on set (I know it’s the correct sound for that video) has a shifted time code: in the sound file, the clap/slate is shifted around 1 minute 26 seconds. As a result it doesn’t sync.

Any idea why one wav file would have incorrect timecode whereas all of the rest is OK and syncs correctly with video?

Incidentally, it happens on the video whose timecode passes midnight (starts 23:59:47, until 24:01:11: next video file starts 00:02:20), but that might just be a coincidence.

    Thanks.

Crossing midnight is a disaster for post. Don’t do that.

Crossing midnight working is a disaster for planning. Don’t be that guy.

Well they shot it that way, it’s done… what can I do now?

There is only this one clip, somehow the corresponding sound file has a timecode shift of around 1 minute 26 seconds. Can I sync this by hand in DaVinci?

    Thanks
