I just used the Riva FLV Encoder, which is donor-ware and converts some standard file formats to FLV.

With your help, I was able to render correctly. I reset the Project PAR to be the same ratio as the videos inside it. Then when I render, I set the PAR to 1.0.

    Thank you!

PAR of Project: 0.9091 (NTSC DV)
    PAR of render: 0.9091

The project contains still photos and videos. The videos PAR is 1.2121 (NTSC DV Widescreen).

Is that a clue? What do I do about it?

Thanks Rob – I’ll give it a go.

It still happens even without still images, as it turns out. Is 2GB RAM just not enough?

Do you think it might be that I don’t have enough RAM (2GB)?

Maybe that’s the issue – as John said – that it doesn’t like oversized still photos. Some of mine are 3072 x 2304. They are only links to the files though – not saved inside the project. I’m surprised it’s a problem, really.

I have still images about 2mb each on the timeline – but on a separate track. I’m working on a project now with two 3MB still photos and one short vid, and I get the same response. And it doesn’t make the still images red, just the vids.

I don’t know why it did it, but it doesn’t do it any more. Strange though. It was a Sony DSC- something – newer.

    Thanks for the help!
