Thanks, lots of very useful advice. love the single instrument setup but I don’t tend to have the budget. I am looking at setups in peoples houses. I do have a set of 3*650W Lilliputs which are great. I have also been playing with some very low power setups. The lowest is a 105W florescent soft-box and a couple of Z96 LED units (don’t laugh). I have been trying to find setups that don’t freak out the over 80s. I tend to have to shoot with DSLRs which give great images at 800/1600 ISO.
I am curious why people are using card rather than (white) reflectors.
One thing I have found is if someone is in an armchair backlight placement is a little tricky, defining both shoulders is not easy. Maybe I need to push the chair forward and light from the centre of the subject.
Something I really like is when there is low winter hard sun shooting the subject outside using the sun as a backklight and using a reflector.
Any advice gratefully appreciated.

Update, I got hold of the Jucedlink and it seems to push out a weaker signal than Beachtek. Also Jucedlink also gets through batteries very fast.

I ended up getting the BeachTek. I have just borrowed a Jucedlink from a friend. The BeachTek pushes out a higher level. In Magic Lantern I need to turn audio gain up all the way (32dB) for Jucedlink but for BeachTek I can leave it at 17dB. I have a broadcast sound recordists coming round Friday to do some full tests but having to use extra in camera gain is a bad sign.

Me thinks that would mess up the recording or an I missing something. I am talking about monitoring individual channels during recording. Or have I missed something.
If there are problems during the recording I need to isolate the micraphone that is OK, I may decide that it is OK to continue as the OK mike is getting good sound. If I cant isolate it during recording I cant make this call.
As beatchteck are doing refurds for a very good price I have ordered one. Ultimately they are both good units but hopefully the beatchtek will allow proper stereo monitoring.

Had anyone used the BeachTek, it turns out the juicedlink has a major design fault that makes it close to useless for me. The two stereo channels are combined to one mono channel which is played in both headphone cups! I therefore can not monitor lav and boom separately while recording interviews. I have not jet been able to clarify if BeachTek does proper stereo monitoring.

So its basically useless for monitoring lav and boom setup during interviews. Bit of a major design fault;(.

Ime just looking at monitoring, think I will wait. Do we know when it will be releases? I have see one article (something like ‘will they get back market share’) but if you know of any other please holla.
