February 16, 2016 at 1:43 pm in reply to: Quicktime movies suddenly stopped pllaying in Premiere

Hey guys thanks for the advice i did do that but the problem appears to be bigger. I now have an error saying- “Adobe Premier Pro could not find any capable video play modules. Please update your video display drivers and start again.” Premiere then crashes.

I have tried dumping preferences. Reinstalling. Tried this- https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/kb/error—preludevideo-play-modules.html As far as i can see i have the correct permissions?

Anyideas. I have a deadline for tomorrow but i will try someone elses computer tonight cause i feel this could take time.

Ah okay. Is that the only format that a screensaver can be accepted in? I am working on a Mac so i can’t test this out on a PC.

Where did you see the ;- mark? I’ve checked the footage. the countdown at the start is 30fps. Everything else is 23.97. Is this the problem? Also if this is the case why does the timecode not drop when I export it the first time before it goes into Premiere?

yup that’s how i made it.
The dropped frames at 30fps didn’t seem to do anything either. Sorry i don’t mean to shoot down everything your suggesting, i’m trying it all out i promise 🙂

Is there a way to check for dropped frames? I’ve not come across it in Premiere sorry?

OK thanks for your help. it was actually done in Fcp 7 (not my choice). Then encoded for the sound mix and composer. Now the director is matching it up like this in premiere and finding this problem. It’s only one file in premiere and the timecode matches fine up to this point?
