Hope this helps . . . here’s what I did in the past:
Requires that you own Sony Vegas as well.

Sync all the cameras in Premiere Pro, export project as AAF and open in Vegas. All your cameras show up there . . . select all of them and create a multicam track and them cut your project. Worked great with 6 camera for me.

You then “save as” your Vegas project as AAF and open back in Premiere . . . hope that helps.

That’s what I figured . . . is there any way of looking at what’s on the DLT, except using Gear software?

Using Encore . . . master . . . it wrote files and then ejected the tape. I had an old DLT that I wrote the project to, that I used to back up some other stuff with Windows BU . . . it would not recognize the tape and asked to make it writable . . . . so I assume that what Encore writes to the DLT is not necessarily readable, except by software designed for DVD mastering? Thanks!

I’m sure that’s what was done then . . . replication . . . I know they weren’t using my original to just make duplicates. They were running the DVD through Eclipse to make their master.

Good question! As I said in my first post, there are 2 layers of client between myself and the duplicator. I did find out this morning that they did create a check disk . . . and that my original did pass the bit to bit test on the first version . . . but evidently did not play for whoever received the check disk.

The contact that I did make with the company today said it might have been a press related issue. That’s what I know right now.

Once you have built your sequence that you want to nest, create a new sequence and drag the first sequence into it. You will see only 1 video track and 1 audio track . . . of course, any changes you make in the original sequences will be reflected in the nested sequence.

I use MPEG Streamclip to batch convert these files. It will export to a wide variety of formats. Vegas will do it as well.

For the record . . . I got an answer on this from Adobe. The error I was getting is generally caused by Quicktime. Per their suggestion, I uninstalled QT and reinstalled the latest version. It seems to be working now!

I was incorrect . . . it must have been a fluke that it worked the first time after re-install, I continue to get the same error messages.
