Matching the color of your work with TV’s is going to be a nightmare, because even with the right color space your videos will never look the same in different TVs.

If you want to link the position for example, just alt+clic the position on your shape and then use the pick whip to link it to the null object position.

The best way to zoom in and out in Premiere is holding ALT and using the mouse scroll.
But you can try changing the keyboard design to AVID or FCP on the top of the keyboard menu, there is a pro up menu that will give you that option.Axel Arzola

Depending on every shot your grading will b different. Davinci has a powerful scene detection tool, but is going to be easier for you if you go to grade with an XML or EDL file and your footage.
Why do you have to transcode all your 5D footage to something else to edit in AVID?
Try to simplify your steps, do your edit, send your VFX clips to the software you need, then put the VFC clip back in your AVID timeline and export the XML or EDL to get to Davinci for final grading.Axel Arzola

In the keyboard shortcuts menu you can change everything to the AVID set up. At the top of the menu, seek for a pop up menu where you can select shortcut configuration either from FCP, AVID or Premiere.
A fast way to zoom in and out is holding ALT and using the mouse scroll, using that it really doesn’t matter where in the keyboard you are.

Probably the problem is the different versions of Premiere. I had worked multiplataform before and that shouldn’t be the problem. Try exporting an EDL or XML out of your school Premiere, and the open that file in a project in your home mac.

To edit the transition duration without having to zoom in you can just double clic it, and then establish the new duration on the window that will open with the transition controls.
An easy way of zoom in and out is to hold ALT and use the scroll on your mouse, this makes really easy to go in and out really fast. The files that Premiere generates next to your media contains some basic clip info, like waveform information and things like that. You can keep them, so opening the project is faster, but is not really important.
To avoid getting lost, this is the folder structure I use
>Project Name
>Footage
>Cam 1
>Cam 2
>B roll
>Audio
>FX
>ProjIn the proj folder I keep the .pproj project and .aep in case I use After Effects too.
Premiere will create 3 folders next to your project where the render files and others will be created.Whenever a file is unlinked you can see the last location where it was, that can give you an idea of where it was.

Sometimes a new project will have a lot of empty timelines. Just double clic the one you want to work in and it will automatically open.
