I am new to Premiere and am actually only using it to playback rendered After Effects animations to an HD LCD monitor to check my work for moire or banding.

My color setting in Photoshop are HDTV (Rec 709) 16-235 and my color settings in After Effects are the same. In quicktime, everything is lighter (clipping the blacks up 16? is that what it’s doing?).

I have rendered out some Apple ProRes422 HQ 60i animations and am wondering if there is a place to set the colorspace in Premiere. My blacks in Premiere appear to be just as washed out as they look in Quicktime.
If there isn’t, is there an AE work around I should use? These renders are NOT my final renders so I can change the render settings to whatever I need to in order to get a more accurate color. Work in the HDTV color space but set the output to RGB or something??

    Thanks for the help
