Or if you have budget, rent a Autodesk Smoke. Will solve all the issues. By the way I can do it for $75/hr or a package deal for you. Even if it means to rotoscope it. How many min you said it was?

What programs are you using? In smoke it is very easy recreate the whole thing.

It is working fine on a Mac both for Smoke as well as AE. Not had a stability issue so far.

try different outputs….not just qt….see whether it works…and don’t lose your heart After effects is only few thousand dollars software…softwares worth of tens of thousands do these kinda problems.

Please mention your hardware configuration too…
