    Tankboy,

I assume you’ve used the M100i codec in this project. If so, this codec uses color space that represents black at 16 on the RGB Value scale and white at 235 (full RGB range is 0-255). This allows for super black, and details in white above 100 IRE…

FYI, there is a 2Gig file size limitation with OMF – Avid gets around this by creating sequetial files I believe, but media 100 (via DQ) did not / could not implement this.

If using M100’s OMF exporter for LONG timelines, you are best served breaking the export up into scenes.

Gentlemen, thank you for your respose. I prefer HD-SDI connections to my NLE, and am leaning towards the Sony hvr-1500, I’ll keep in mind the 24f issue.

    Many thanks,

Try trimming the clip to the length you want, save the sub clip in a bin.

Create a boris Comp (on V-A or V-B or V1)

    launch Boris,

On the default tracks that are present in boris, delete track 2, change media type of v1 to ‘bin browser’ (Clik where it says v1 and choose m100 bin browswer from the pop up menue)and find the trimmed clip you just created and select it.

    Apply stabilization filter and render.

I just found out that Media 100 is not going to freely distibute their Intel M100 Codec – The only way to get it is to buy Producer (which you did) or a hardware system…

I don’t know why you haven’t gotten an unlock for producer – but did you include the Unique Product ID with your online order?

If not, I’d try sending that to sales@media100.com (do them a favor an include your invoice number when you send that).

The unlock code should make your watermark go away.

If you’re going to compressor, or if you have a mixed codec time line, you should export using this option (16-235)… alternatively, go get bitvice (www.innobits.com), which has an option to handle m100 rgb values properly.

ok, here’s a wild stab in the dark

Delete the com.media100.media100.plist file that is located in the same folder as your media 100 preferences.
