stabilize in Boris RED
Try to stabilize footage in Boris RED. Create a composition clip in Media 100 HD (V2), place it over the media (V1) and change to Boris via edit in the edit suite. Stabilzing works fine in preview but when I try to save (apply in RED, apply + render (clip and below) in Media 100 there is only a black clip when playing back. What is wrong ? Anybody an idea ?

Hi Thomas,
I just tried and it works for me.
Video clip in V (or V1,V2 etc), drag a RED comp in the V track above. Edit and set the track to be V1. Apply the motion stabilizer. Apply and render.
Which version of Media 100 and RED are you using?

Try trimming the clip to the length you want, save the sub clip in a bin.
Create a boris Comp (on V-A or V-B or V1)
launch Boris,
On the default tracks that are present in boris, delete track 2, change media type of v1 to ‘bin browser’ (Clik where it says v1 and choose m100 bin browswer from the pop up menue)and find the trimmed clip you just created and select it.
Apply stabilization filter and render.

In V11.6.2 with Red 4.1 this does work. What version of Red and Media 100 are you using? Maybe this is a bug in an older version.

It is M 100 HD 10.1.2 and Boris RED 3.0. When I follow Arthurs suggestion I get a
crash when I try to open the bin browser in Boris.Thank you, Floh

try Upgdating to m100 10.1.4 (free)- Or look into a software Update to 11.6.2 and RED 4.waddevaitsatnow from Media 100…

I had problems with BorisRED rendering black when I went back into Media100. After getting the latest RED upgrade, the problem was corrected, no more black renders (unless that’s what I want).
