    Im a schizophrenic:

I am an Apple fanboy – and a strong critic at the same time.

My concern is the pro-apps, and their future.

Apple has a history of keeping secret all the things that are to come, which makes sense when it comes to the consumer products.

But : I feel that when they are not able to say simple things like :
“We will add blu-ray support before the end of 2008 ” – i get worried, so worried in fact that I bought the adobe apps that support it already…..

    The same thing with SHAKE:
Its EOL as people know, and this new “phenomenon” app is rumoured.. BUT WHEN?????
People in compositing are running in a stampede-like fashion to learn and BUY Nuke – and when the “penomenon” eventually emerges ( if ever ) , the purchases are made, and there might be no going back for those that have made the investments in both hardware
(PCS running LINUX maybe?? ) and training….

So Apple : Why not announce something? Like :
” The SHAKE replacement is coming 2008, You are not forgotten, and we intend to sell more than Ipods, rentals and MP3S….”

I need to go NUKE soon – but i could wait if APPLE gave us a timeframe – if not then well:

The fantastic visual design of your products are just not enough…….. I need to do my work.

    Just my two cents worth:

Now fellow-apple fanboys : Feel free to bite my head off……

Maybe I misunderstood, but I check my keyed objects over a simple white to black gradient, which i move around a bit.

    Works for me

It might very well end up as my only grading tool:

    Not because its better…..
Not because its easy to use….

But because it might actually work.

I am comfortable with the tools in color , but:

The amount of crashes and problems make it, for the time being, useless for me. Primarily because I am constantly worried about the fact that it might crash… oh and yeah, Im in PAL land……
