It sounds like they’re asking for a digital cinema package. The specs for a DCP are 1920×1080 at 24fps or 2048×1080 at 24fps.
If you want to make a DCP yourself, you need to buy a $7,000 software package to do so. You may want to farm this out to someone who will do it for a couple of hundred.

The editing term is “split screen”. Look up “crop” in your FCP manual.

How does it look on your external video monitor?

[Mark Myers] “Discovered with some more troubleshooting that the hum IS there in the sequence, but only if you monitor through the computer speakers.”
Does other audio hum through those speakers? Does the QT export hum on other systems? If you import the QT back into FCP and play it out over the FW connection, is there a hum?
IOW, maybe the computer speakers hum, not the QT or the FCP timeline.

Is your footage jittery because the bass made your camera shake, or is it jittery because the bass created corrupt video frames on your tape?

[Kaz Yamaguchi] “one is a guy standing in left side of frame, and other one is a guy standing in right side, and 2 guys( a same guy) are shown in a frame as a final image. “
You put one shot over the other and use the crop in the motion tab to make a split screen. If you don’t understand what I just told you, refer to your manual.

[Doug Metz] “every fourth frame is interlaced on my 23.976 output – be it from Compressor, JES Deinterlacer, or Cinema Tools.”
That’s not a correct pulldown pattern. You should see 2 interlaced frames out of every 5, and they should be together.

April 5, 2010 at 6:12 pm in reply to: Audio not synching up with 29.97 and 59.94 versions[Peter Hadfield] “We give them a PhotoJPG version of the show at 29.97fps. I use an AIFF of the dialogue and an AIFF of the music that I export from my true 24fps timeline, line up the video and audio tracks, and export the PhotoJPG at 29.97.”
Your animation timeline should be 23.98, not 24. And all of your animation should be done at 23.98 (aka 23.976), not 24.

Step through the video frame by frame. You should see a pull down pattern of 3 repeated frames followed by 2 repeated frames. If that’s the case, you can try to remove the pulldown in Compressor using its reverse telecine function under the Frames tab.
