Best FCP output to Jpeg2000?
Hello Community –
Quick question here… I’m a veteran Final Cut Pro Editor but just came across the compression “Jpeg2000” for the first time, as it is the required output for a national movie chain which is airing the TV commercial I just produced. The spot was shot on a Canon 5D Mark II in 24p at 1920×1080, then converted to Apple Pro Res HQ for editing purposes, which has worked beautifully for both web and TV. However every time I try to output the spot to a quicktime with Jpeg2000 compression the spot just shows a still about every 4 seconds or so… SO FRUSTRATING!
The final desired specs are: 1280×720, Jpeg2000 compression, frame rate 29.97, audio 48khz 16-bit stereo.
THE SPOT IS ONLY 15 SECONDS LONG!
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE BEST WORKFLOW TO GO FROM 24p Apple Pro Res to 29.97fps in this crazy jpeg2000 format? Please help!
(I’ve tried to read other threads on this but it seemed that they were more dealing with longer docs airing via digital cinema.)
Thanks!!!
