Hey thanks for the reply. As I mentioned before, I’m a total novice with Photoshop, but I’m really liking it.

Do you think you could direct me to the “Extras Folder”? Is that in the program itself? Or is that like: c:\programfiles\adobe\photoshopcs3\extras?

Am really curious how to access that?

    Hmmmm……..?

    🙂

Thanks a million. I’m starting to really love photoshop.
I noticed however, one of my custom filters/plug ins wasn’t accessable after I converted to a smart object.

Earlier today…I did a filter frame by frame on a jpeg sequence.

Is there an easier way around this? Or another method?

    thanks 🙂

May 19, 2008 at 6:15 pm in reply to: Conforming Video..

    Allrighty then,

    thanks for helping out.

I use a PC on XP.

The video file captures as a “M2T” file. It’s new to me, but it works quite well. Here’s the guy’s download page:
    https://strony.aster.pl/paviko/hdvsplit.htm

Video programs like AFX and Premiere Pro will show you in their dialogue box when you are “adding file”, and afterwards it will usually say “conforming video file”. It seems to be preparing for use in AFX. Usually afterwards the video image will appear.

I’m just not sure why it would recognize some of the same files and then occasionally not bigger ones. I realize bigger ones are longer to conform. But the other day I waited an hour, as though it skipped the conforming part. With a bit of fiddling it works. Just wondered if anybody had some knowledge or secret keys to fix those kind of issues easier.

Well i’m glad am not the only one. We all know how it should be theoretically. So adobe should really fix that bug!
I hate when I got about 50 layers and it is critically important to get some other layer in exactly the right position. However, it seems even more complicated when there is a nested composition. The layers just won’t stick to their 3d location.

I’m glad someone knows what am talking about.
I haven’t really been importing from photoshop. But I have been making photoshop image sequences. Do they have “styles” attached to them? Where does one disable them.

I’ll wait till I get another one of these situtaions and then I am going to upload some screen shots.

no worries. hahah. Looks like in this nested composition, the original comp had “accept lights” turned off…

My mistake sorry. I was trying to apply it to a precomp layer and I had collapsed transformations and some other stuff, so it was out of whack.

    Oops…. 🙂

The Tracking info is correct, but when applied to a layer, it’s out in a different position.

Well this issue happens to me all the time. Even when all layers a switched 3d. I find myself pushing way way way back in Z space to make a layer appear behind another and I realize it’s just the comp order that is influencing it’s appearance.

In the one comp in question am doing now. I do have a one precomp somewhere in the middle which I also turned into a 3d layer.

No I don’t think I have any non 3d layers.
