If you have CS3 you don’t even have to render it. Open Bridge and drag the project into the assets window of Premier. Then just treat it as a clip. When you want to tweak just go to AE, the changes are reflected in Premier.

Hi Marc
Is this the kind of look you are after? – https://www.vertigo.co.uk/vertigoreel.html (click on ‘Teen Mum High’)
That was; a scan of an old envelope (more pronounced texture), very faint overlay of Fractal Noise, 2 instances of the Grid effect (one for the red line and one for the blue) tinted with Curves (individual channels). I know it doesn’t scan as you need it, but I think a combination of a managably large image and Offset should do it.
Good luck

I had exactly the same job a couple of weeks ago. I scanned an old envelope, overlaid a solid with fractal noise and played with the blending. Use the Grid effect for the lines then Pre-Compose.

Tom, it may seem hard to hear but I think Dave is more correct than not when talking about approaching a job professionally. Of course, if you’re _not_ a professional and you have no/little interest in making it completely professional then yeah, other approaches will give you some kind of result; you’ll learn something, your friends will think it’s cool, the bluebirds will sing and there will be rainbows.
But if you want to be a pro, for the long term, he’s right.

… or open the ‘in/out/duration’ pane in your timeline (bottom left, looks like curly brackets) and change the length/speed of your layer

Select all the keyframes and then alt-drag the last (right most) keyframe out to your new length. They will all move proportionally.

Is there a way to delete the folder or appearance of the ‘Missing’ effects? They show in the Effects panel even in an empty project.

How embarrassing!
I was staring at the problem for 30 minutes and didn’t see it. This was an extract from a larger project and couldn’t see the wood for the trees. That’s my excuse anyway!
Cheers

Have you tried tying the brush size in the Stroke effect to the scale of the map using the linear() expression?
I’m sure an expression guru can help you.
