Have you tried rendering an image sequence?
Also, the only other time I have seen this is with KeyLight. Are you using Keylight anywhere in the comp?

OK so along these lines. Now I am stuck. I have an AE camera doing a Pan and Scan over a 5000×6000 psd file.
Well it is so bad it is crashing almost all my Machines so I’d like to break it up.

So I have one PSD file that has about 11 layers in it. That PSD is brought in to AE as a Comp so I can animate certain layers.
So If I were to break this up into lets just say two. How do I perfectly break it up, and keep all my layers? I can’t flatten it, no way, I need to have the layers.

    Hey Peter,
OK so along these lines. I have an even larger Matte painting 5000×6000 that I have as a PreComp and than brought into an HD AE comp. I have an AE camera doing a Pan and Scan.

Hey Thanks. I will mess around with it.
You say it will not work with 3D layers. So no way I could get this data to work with an AE Camera?

NOt sure what you want to do so I should not reply, but hope this can help you out!

Effects / Channel / set channel. Set them all to green or whatever channel you need.

Once you get your layer to act as the green channel you can multiply it in.

Again sorry if this in not to helpful!

Yes it occurs consistently with the same box. The box that fails is very quick to do so. Yet the second works every time. The specs on the two boxes are exactly the same.
You could be right about one having unstable ram? That I don’t know.
If you have any other suggestions please let me know. I will continue to try diff cache settings, reboot and start the render.
    Thank you for your reply

Yes I do the same. I go so far as to render out just the matte of the keyed footage. Re touch the alpha or white areas. Than import and use a track matte. Render times speed up. I do have to revisit that keyed matte every once in a while and re render that matte if I mess up. But I like this method, feels clean.
