Anyone got any ideas. I have an image seq in my project window. When I launch it, the image seq is loaded into my viewer window. My comp window will also sync up to it. Not what I want. All I want is to launch the file to quickly look through.

    Win XP AE7

    Thank you

Caps lock will disable my viewer and comp window.
I am in AE7 in winXP. I loved how AE would launch the QT viewer in the old days, I have never gotten it to do it with this set up. Is it possible?. I am working with image sequences though. I have tried a combo of alt double click, ctrl click, no dice.

IF anyone has a second to re build this comp as described above it would be helpful to know this issue is valid.
    Thank you

Have you tried to re create it. In this case weather it is HD or SD is not the issue, it is not a bitrate issue. Again, the issue is what looks like a hold frame. When framing forward and watching your burn in counter, I can see the frame counter is moving but the quick time has a bunch of hold frames which give it that strobe feel. I think it is a bug in CS3. Again, just try to set this up SD or HD in AE8:
    Comp is 23.98.
Image seq is imported at 23.98
23.98 Frame counter to help verify the frames.
Start image seq at frame 2 of comp.
    Render QT photo jpeg.

Again, this same set up works perfect when the image seq starts at one, it only strobes when images seq starts at frame 2 of comp.

I have tested this on three diff systems, and one being a mac.
AE7 is the only one that will render out a 23.98 QT the way I have it set up.

I just want to verify that other people are getting this hic up.

Hey will someone re create this
    WinXP AE8
    New comp 23.98fps
    Import image seq at 23.98

Start image seq at frame 2 (not frame one.)
    overlay a frame counter in @ 23.98
    Render a QT, PhotoJpeg. 23.98fps

    Does it play back jerky.

    Thanks so much

Humm, I work mainly in AE, so this was the first thing I suggested to our NUKE guy. Although IT can be fixed in AE or even fixed in NUKE. I want to fix it before it leaves PS. I don’t want to have fix the alpha in th ecomposite. I want PS to give me a cleaner alpha edge. No massive halo

Sometimes the masks are so heavy that it will bog down AE making it only look as if there is a problem. I suggest you track matte a solid through the alpha of the auto traced layer. this will confirm your problem or reveal a solution.

I have the same question. I need to speed up a layer by a specific percentage.
