  • Time Remapping and Graph Editor in AE 7

    Hello:

I’ve had AE 7.0 for eight months or so, but I still use 6.5 for almost all of my work because I think AE 6.5 is more user friendly. One area in which I think AE 6.5 is superior to 7.0 is adjusting time remapping keyframes in the graph editor of 7.0.

In 6.5, once time remapping is enabled on a layer, I could adjust keyframes and twirl down to get a readout that would tell me the speed to which my video was being remapped, ie: 25%, 50%, 87%, 100% or whatever.

In 7.0, when looking at the time remap keyframes in the graph editor, I get a graph that shows seconds on a vertical scale but nothing that indicates to what percent I’ve slowed down or sped up the motion. I can sort of tell by calling up the speed graph as a reference, but that seems harder than it should be.

So is there a way in AE 7 to display that speed percentage info?

    Thanks.

I have the same question. I need to speed up a layer by a specific percentage.
