    There is a check box in the Warp effect for turning the banner off.

    Your workflow is kind of weird, if you dont want the banner and you dont want it stabilized: remove the effect.

    It means these are the only cards that will give gpu acceleration in Pre miere 5.5.
    There is no hack you can perform in 5.5 to get other cards to give you gpu acc.

    Only way to fix this is to convert with Handbrake to constant framerate.

    5.5 support but 3 cards: gtx 285, quadro FX 4800 and 4000.

    Narrow black bars are usually an aspect ratio issue.
    Might want to check the sequence aspect ratio (it is set to 0.9)

    There is not.
    Just right click on a clip: New Sequence from Clip.
    That will give you a matching sequence for your footage.

    Set the keyframes to linear. That usually fixes the problem.

    DPI means nothing in video, that is just for printing. The only thing that matters is the resolution in pixels.
    Making the stills the same size as the frame means resizing them in Photoshop to the same height and width in pixels as your sequence.
