Make sure your project is widescreen and your footage is set to the widescreen aspect ratio (interprete footage) and you will be fine.

I have found the best way to get a wmv is exporting your movie to dv-avi and then converting it to wmv in Windows Movie Maker.

To get it synced in Premiere make a short loud sound clearly to be heard on the minidisk and camera. Let both run the whole time during taping do not use the stop button.

That’s a big flaw in Premiere to have to re-render a nested sequence.
Another way is render it out to hdv, import and add fade to black.

Unfortunately Premiere does not use more than 2 gigs of Ram, the same goes for AE. Changing this to 3 gig is not worth it.
When running AE on a 64 bits OS then it will use all your RAM.
