Just wondering If I record onto a minidisk at the same time as a camcorder can I sync it later in Premiere Pro CS3.It will surely stay in time all the way through as it’s both digital-yes or no?

    Yes.
To get it synced in Premiere make a short loud sound clearly to be heard on the minidisk and camera. Let both run the whole time during taping do not use the stop button.

You may find a little drift, but that should be correctable with a minor adjustment every few minutes or so.

What they are saying though is that it might quickly turn into a pain in the %@# 🙂

    Especially on long shoots.

You may have another reason for doing it, but a good reason would involve a high end recorder, with high end preamps, which would be better than those of most comcorder, and with more inputs.

Unless you have a way sync the two(blackburst, timecode…), you will probably see a drift, so be prepared to spend some extra time on it.
