Mpeg quality 4 is ok. What is the final product going to be?

By the way, loved Tobago’s beaches.

I have no idea how to relink preview files if not asked on opening the project.
Are they that important? You could render the timeline again for preview but dont use them on export, use Max Render Quality instead if you do not have MPE.

I would get rid of the orphan timeline.
It means you have a timeline with no asset.
    Then try again.
You could also render from Premiere and import into encore.
Make menu, link assets and burn.
I find when i change things in Encore to many time it gives errors.
Usually i start over with already rendered assets.
    Hope this helps.

No its not if you think it through.
If you double click on a clip in the timeline it opens in the Source Monitor. If you change in and out point of that clip in the Source monitor you also change the in and outpoint in the timeline.
If you want two sections of the same clip in the timeline you open from the Project Window and not the timeline.

Yes, when the program asks you where is file so and so, you will have to find it and select it. The rest will follow.

Are you using MPE? If not make sure Max Render Quality is set.
Dont check Frame Blending leave that off.
A preset like hdtv1080i 29,97/25 should produce good footage.

Avi is but a wrapper, what codec does the file use.
If you are not sure you can use GSpot.
