Unfortunately CS4 cant handle H264 in a mov wrapper very well. They fixed these issues in CS5.
I you plan to keep on using CS4 i recommend Cineform Neoscene to convert the files in something editable and exportabel.

I’ve been using TMPGenc for some time now to get HDV to DVD.
For the intermediate file that i need i use NeoScene.
And i am very happy with the workflow. TMPGenc makes realy good mpeg2-dvd, i import them into Encore make menu and burn with Nero.

You mean to say the audio track is empty?
Does the clip have audio in the source monitor
What kind of clip is it, i mean the source.

Try the YT preset (under H.264), see how that works.

Try Shift+T.

For YT you always need to de-interlace.

Don’t know what is exactly wrong but CS5 handles 1080/50p.
First copy files to hdd before importing.

Audio needs to be converted as CS4 does not handle LPCM.
For next projects set the camera to Dolby.
