Did you ever solve this problem ?
I think my XML export from FCP are being rejected by Davinci Resolve as Resolve is looking at the CF Timecode while FCP exports the qt TC.

Ideally we should be able to take the CF metadata TC and use that for the qt TC.
    Just not sure how!!

  • Interesting!
I think the Match frame and overwrite helped a bit.
Now when I import the XML I get a Reels do not match error..

At least there is some progress..

Unfortunately many of these projects were created before I knew this..
I have the project settings as None.
Is there a way to access the clips in round tripped project to change their settings ?

    Hi Dwaine.
Does the 10.7.5 beta release fix the issue ?

Thanks Ralph. This was what I was missing too.

  • The main advantage is organization..
I keep all my files, cineform rendered files and the project file in one folder.

This way I can scrap an individual scene if I do not want it.

I have way too many cuts and scene to be able to work with it in a single sequence.

thanks for explaining the full swing vs studio swing issue.
At least I`m glad its not being clipped.

  • This is driving me nuts. I sent the following inquiry.
    >>>
I had a question about the Shuttle that I hope you could get a response from blackmagic about.
In the Intensity line of capture cards the chroma values were clipped at 16-240.
This prevented the recording of expanded gamut xv.ycc color space.

Is this clipping still happening on the Shuttle 2 ?
    >>>

    Got this reply.
    >>>
there will be no change in HyperDeck Shuttle 2 with regards to this.
    >>>

    A 10-bit recorder will use 0-1023 values.
Does this mean that the space from 0-15 and 240-253 are empty ?

I just want a clarification from BMD about this. I have owned the Intensity, Intensity Pro and now the Hyperdeck Shuttle. Is it too much for a long term customer to get a clarification on this issue ?

Even if it cannot be fixed, at least be forthright about the limitation and document it so we can avoid this issue!

Hi Joshua. Can you please please confirm if the Hyperdeck clips chroma in 16-240 as the Intensity cards did ?
I have a couple of different camcorders than can output in xvycc expanded colorspace, buts it pointless if the extra data is being clipped during recording.

Will the new codec (Prores, CF, Jpeg2k, dirac ????) be implemented on the Shuttle 2 as well ?

Thanks for giving us this awesome device for 350 bucks.

Its remarkable that people charge this much for pieces of Aluminium with holes in them ..
