That not quite what I was thinking of, but your allusion to a nested comp is very useful. This is what I am thinking of doing. Making a 2048 x 1536 project to match a 3 MP still. I will drop the 1080p files into this project. The extra resolution with be used for a Ken Burns effect.
Now I will drop this project into a 1080p sized project, and hey presto I have now added zoom and tilt into my work without loss of resolution using the extra resolution and size obtained from the still..
Thanks for the nested comp idea.

Thanks for the explanation. I had thought this would be the case but I was hoping I was wrong.

Hi Pierre! Would you consider a request for a tutorial that combines 60i to 24P conversion and also includes the denoise and deartifactor options ?
I think your filters do all this – but its not really clear how its done..
That would be really useful..I am leaning towards MB Suite 2007 mainly because of their tutorials – but Twixtor users swear that its better 24P than MBE.
Obviously you will have a bias 🙂 but do you think the gap with MB Suite 2007 has reduced ? i.e. Does MB Suite uses a different deinterlacing algorithm now..?
Cheers!

April 27, 2008 at 7:09 am in reply to: Deinterlace and uprez DVCam, Dig8 for HD projectHi! I was hunting for a good uprez solution as well..I found the toolfarm listing of various options (Hope its not against policy to post a link 🙂 )
https://toolfarm.com/plugins/index.php/Up_Res_(SD_to_HD_conversion_Choices)The description for Deemon SuperResolution seems interesting..But I could not find reviews – is there anyone who has tried it out for uprezzing ??
It seems to also get uprez information from different frames and not just a single frame..So it may add resolution to a video file..There were also other options including ones from Boris, and some others I had never heard of..
Opinions are most welcome..
