I’ve used these framerates together a lot, and I get best results when I set the project properties to 29.97 fps. Then, depending on which frame rate you’re rendering out to, disable resample on the footage that isn’t your output frame rate. So if I render out to 29.97 fps, I’ll disable resample on all 23.976 fps footage on my timeline.

I’ve done that just by changing the aspect ratio. I forget what combination of changing the project aspect ratio or the render settings aspect ratio that I did, but it’s pretty straight forward.

I have no idea, but I doubt it. How would it have done that after I’ve had it for over a year? I never updated Pluraleyes, I don’t know if that has anything to do with it.

Go to the pan and crop tool on the picture, and on the Preset drop down on the top of the window select (or create) whichever aspect ratio is what your project is. For a lot of people it’s 16:9. Just know that you’ll cut off some of the picture by doing this since you still can’t change the shape of the picture itself, so you have to be ok with cutting off the ends of the picture and possibly re-framing it.

I’m all but completely certain you can’t do that on YouTube. At best to mimic this you may want to render each chapter of your video out to a separate video, upload them all, and put them in a playlist so a viewer can go from one video directly to the next. But that’s if you want the chapters as separate videos in the first place.

Make sure your project settings match your video specs as well.

What? She said she normalized audio last, after cleaning it up first.

Probably, yes. You’re bringing up the noise floor when you normalize audio and in my experience should have waited to clean up your audio until after it was normalized, since that’s where it’s going to have more of an effect. Unless someone knows of another way. But that’s how I’ve been editing audio for three years.

You could do that by using multiple video tracks and putting the footage you want on the looping film strip on them and using the track motion and cookie cutter tools to rotate them, put them on the sides of the video, and make them float up and down. Look up those tools and try testing them out.
