Vegas 13 has a feature I practically would have paid for on its own, which is that when I cut a part of an event and then ripple the events after it, the cursor goes back to wherever the rest of the event I cut ripples to. I love it. It was so tedious doing that before.

I would just open another instance of Vegas while you have your initial project open, copy and paste any part you want into the new project, and continue like that.
Or just “Save as” and save a new Vegas project and delete whatever you don’t want (so you can keep the same track info, which won’t get pasted onto a new Vegas project), and repeat.

I don’t trust Dell after I’ve had at least two CPUs over heat in the 90s, not sure if I’d ever trust them again.

I got Vegas 13 primarily to edit 4k video, which 10 can’t do (if it even can it’s barely able to).

Having tried to pick up Avid, Premiere, Final Cut, and Vegas, Vegas is by far the most intuitive to me to use (though Avid was a close second back when I used it in 2003/2004. No idea if that still bears out.)

The other thing is I had to set the Project Properties interlace method to blend by default, when you match the properties with the video, it’s left on none.

Ok, now that I’ve tried using Vegas Pro 13, I don’t mind. I absolutely think we should be able to dock it where we want or just have it left at the top, but I always used shortcuts for those functions, anyways. So this is a case of Sony making a bad decision that merely ends up being innocuous, but I don’t want them making decisions like this.

It still looks jerky and blurry because I rendered it to 23.976 fps, but the horrible jaggedness is gone. I don’t know what I was thinking shooting 30 fps, but I think it works, and I’ll probably shoot future episodes of my mom’s show in 30 fps since I prefer it to feel more real and less movie like or imagined, anyways.

Can you post screencaps of your media properties, project settings, and render settings, and post them?
