No, just dragging the folder will break the installation. Drag it back to where it was and you can try to relaunch, but it may be beyond repair because of the failed launch.
I suggest a clean install.
Lets say you have C: which is your system drive and D: which is your SSD. I believe Adobe will attempt to install onto your system drive. If you have space let it do this.
Once this is done. drag the installed folder to a location on your SSD. You need to create a symlink (directory symbolic link) like C:Program FilesAdobePremiere Pro CS6 that points to its new location on the D: drive. This is not a shortcut, but a symlink will make the program act like it’s installed on your C: drive.
As to why you want to install it on an SSD, the only real performace benefit is boot time; that is, of course, unless you’re just out of disk space.

H.264 mp4 files will work in Quicktime, however I’ve had clients complain of lipsync issues with the mp4 container. I guess it’s a known issue.
Quicktime h.264 should be more than adequate for client review videos. If you’re experiencing skipping, can you tell us the settings you’ve tried and if you experience skipping on your system, the client’s system or both? We can troubleshoot. Trust me when I say this but Animation and Apple Intermediate codecs are two you do not want to use for client reviews.
In terms of using ProRes, it’s a good choice if not a little large in terms of file size. If your clients do not have Final Cut or other Apple pro video apps then you will need to instruct them (for both PC and OSX) to install the free ProRes decoder. This will enable ProRes playback on their system within the Quicktime Player.

Do you know what error they are getting? I assume you’re using a simple data disc format.
I doubt it is due to any disc speed issues. DVD at 1x is 11mbits (it’s why dvd video has ~8mbit limit) but it should run much faster in data mode.
Have you tried buring the disc with a verify pass to make sure it isn’t corrupted? Burning cheap discs or at too high of a speed can cause issues. Because it’s one single file, a few bad bits can cause the entire file to go bad.

In File > Export, look in the upper left of the window. For both source and output tabs on the Export window, check out your crop and scale settings.

– What version of Premiere and which operating system?
– Is your Premiere patched and up to date?
– Are you using Mercury Engine in hardware mode, if so what is the graphics card?– Where did this footage come from?
– You mentioned effects, do these clips have any applied and if so which?

Unlink Final Cut, the timeline render is almost strictly used for preview (some exceptions like an end-to-end ProRes workflow for Mac).
I’ve had some strange issues gum up rendered timelines before. Best thing to do is clear the rendered files by:
– Set your work area around the selected clips-
– Go to Sequence > delete work area render files
– Rerender the affected portion.——————–
