We can log and transfer the MXF as ProRes422 natively in FCP, and then import/edit fine with them. The problem is this dramatic color shift when rendered. I’m not sure what is causing it.

I have another project coming up that is going to use C300 footage, and I haven’t figured out what is causing this to happen with my existing project.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Now I am actually having the same thing happen to some of the footage with absolutely no filters on it whatsoever. Still on the C300 footage only.

Sorry for the delayed response!

I know that our C300 footage goes through Log and Transfer within FCP, and our 5DMKIII footage goes through Magic Bullet Grinder.

Would that have something to do with it?

I just realized the footage that is doing it is from a Canon C300. The 5DMKIII footage in the timeline doesn’t shift.

The C300 and MKIII footage are both ProRes422. I’m not sure why one would shift and not the other.

I am having this exact same problem right now. Everything looks correct… until I render the sequence and then almost every clip is lighter. If I turn off the Look and turn it back on it looks correct again.

Rinse and repeat…

Sorry to bump an old thread, especially since I found a duplicate thread of this in the expressions section that I already bumped, but I have run into this issue as well.

I would love to know if there is a workaround, or if there is an alternate plugin I can buy that wouldn’t stair-step the aliasing so bad at the higher heights/widths of the sine wave. My anti-aliasing setting in the wave warp plugin is set to high, but it does no good (layer quality is also set to high).

None of my research has pointed me in the direction of a third-party plugin that works the same way. But perhaps someone knows of one available.
