Graeme- “are my plugins your secret weapon to make your video look better than the other student’s?”
You got it man… actually… I’m interested in both the the standard conversion and film plugins. I’m looking for an easy and effect method of incorporating PAL footage in an ntsc timeline and visa versa.
I already downloaded both demo versions. If I can figure out how to use cinematools then I will compare the render times to your plugin…

As for making my school buy a lincense for each of there systems… I wish I could convince them to buy a lot of things…

    Thanks again,

    Graeme,
I wont be using the plugins on multiple systems simultaneously… I’m sorry that wasn’t clear
    in my original post…

Currently I edit on a FCP 5 system… however… In the next 6 months I may be editing on another system…

The thing is, I don’t own any of the systems I edit on… I am a student and I edit
on school systems… That’s why I want to download your plugin to my external hard drive and then copy the plugins to whatever system I am using at the time… I just wanted to ask that way I didn’t pay 100 bucks to install something on a computer that doesn’t belong to me… only to later find out that I can’t use the plugin on another system… Really my question was ‘are your plugins licensing agreements specific to a single system or copy of FCP?’

When switching systems I have no problem deleting the plugins from the system I am leaving… My intention is not to leave a trail of free plugins behind me… in fact… I pretty sure installing any plugins would be against my school’s usage policy…

Thank you very much for your time,
    AnDy

I can tell you right now what I miss about FCP… the dual core G5 that I run it on… = )

Seriously though, I haven’t used Vegas enough yet… but I will definitely let you know…

    I can’t make up my mind… whether I should
    1. stick with what I know(FCP) and save up for a MAC… or
    2. build up my existing PC
    3. build a new Vegas system

    2+3 should be cheaper…

some products in previous posts that you could google…
    MPEGStreamclip
    DVDxDV
    Cinematize
    Yade X

I haven’t used any of these products… so I can’t make any judgements on quality…

    Thanks everybody for the responce!
I used a chromo key on the window… and then put the keyed out clip on v2 and then but the original on v1… I then lower the original so the background was broadcast safe… Then turned up the
gain on the v2 track… the result looks better then I thought… It took a bit of playing around…

However… I will try that luminence plugin… Thanks Nick!

I may post pics comparing the results from the plugin and my method…
