I have this job that requires me to take a promo DVD and recut it into the new promo, now the trouble is how do i get the DVD on video tape or turned into a QT to re-cut in FCP.
it’s only a real estate promo DVD so how amazing the DVD looks may not be to much of a problem, just getting it to work with other DV footage is my problem. So if anyone here knows a way could you let me know. thanks

you may want to read this post: https://forums.creativecow.net/cgi-bin/new_read_post.cgi?forumid=8&postid=882544

some products in previous posts that you could google…
    MPEGStreamclip
    DVDxDV
    Cinematize
    Yade X

I haven’t used any of these products… so I can’t make any judgements on quality…

MPEG Streamclip is all you need. Works great, use it all the time.

    Andrew,

You don’t need any 3rd party software to do this, you just hook up any DVD player to your camera or deck and capture using non-controlable device.

    Have a wonderful day.
